OKAY GIRLS I'VE GOT GOOD NEWS AND BAD NEWS.

the bad news first.

apparently, eating a low-fat diet DOES NOT help you to prevent heart disease and cancer!
it is TOTALLY true and i'm not bullshitting. i just read it from yesterday's New York Times and they said that some researchers conducted an experiment on a group of women over a few years, making them eat like 37% of a normal fat diet.
and they got breast cancer anyway!

i know this sounds kind of mean, but please people don't use health as an excuse to starve yourself anymore! (though that piece of information is music to my ears- eat unhealthy and still be able to die satisfied :P)

and for the more pleasant detail:

okay back to normal life:
i've caught two great movies, North Country and Be With Me.
i've not felt so much impact from a film in such a long while.

so i shall talk about Be With Me.
"you've lost love when you don't understand what it means."
that coming from a woman who has been deaf and blind since she was 14 and lost her only love to colon cancer.
part of the movie was based on her autobiography, mind you.

and we choose to sob over pimples and daft men.
if someone suffering from double-handicaps can be happy with herself, what right do we have to angst?
